Jil Stifel holds a BFA in dance from Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. She is a former company member of Attack Theatre, performing extensively since 2000 in Japan, Monaco, Indonesia, Germany and throughout the United States. She was delighted to perform with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as the princess in l'Histoire du Soldat. Before moving to Philadelphia Jil was a formidable presence on the Pittsburgh dance scene working with Dance Alloy, XCDC and Junction Dance Theatre. While dancing with Pennsylvania Dance Theatre and Labco Dance she had the opportunity to perform with various independent choreographers including Kevin Wynn, Sean Curran, Kevin Mcgee and Andre Koslowski. In addition to her modern dance career she loves to belly dance and has performed with Sahara middle eastern dance. Her choreography and multi-media projects have been presented in Pittsburgh, New Jersey, North Carolina, Jacksonville and Japan. In 2006 Jil made her debut as a percussionist playing with the Attack Theatre band throughout Java and Bali in Indonesia.
