Dana Dlugosz
Dana Lynn Dlugosz, born and raised in Sellersville, PA, began her formal dance training with Deanna Schubert of Quakertown, PA. Ms. Dlugosz continued her training with Lisa Wasserman of Hatfield, PA followed by a scholarship to Princeton Ballet School, NJ in their Professional Training Program. At Princeton Ballet Dana was invited by artistic director Graham Lustig of American Repertory Ballet to perform Snow and Flowers in the company's Nutcracker. She attended summer intensives at American Repertory Ballet, Houston Ballet, and ABT New York. In May 2006, Ms. Dlugosz graduated from SUNY Purchase College in New York, Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance Performance. While at Purchase College, Ms. Dlugosz danced in numerous soloist and corps roles in the Purchase Dance Corps including Marzipan, Les Noces and Stephanie Tooman's Lullabye Gone. After graduation she danced with New Jersey's Terra Firma Dance Theatre, a not-for-profit contemporary ballet company. While there she danced in works by artistic director Stuart Loungway as well as Septime Webre's - And So it Goes pas de deux. Other roles Ms. Dlugosz has danced are Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Terpsichore and Polyhimnia in Apollo, Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and Dawn in Coppelia. Ms. Dlugosz currently teaches dance in the Bucks and Montgomery County area of PA. Ms. Dlugosz joined Miro Dance Theatre in March 2007 for the premiere of Amanda Miller's Pitch Black. Most recently Ms. Dlugosz enjoyed performing with the Opera Company of Philadelphia in their production of Rigoletto.
